This storefront for a jewelery store in Manhattan creates a paradoxical effect: an appearance of solidity from the street perspective implies security and impregnability while an enticing openness from the sidewalk lures pedestrian shoppers. Pre-cast concrete panels dip in and out, exposing products laterally to passersby while presenting a closed facade to the street.
