The condition of the city is a condition of homelessness. All city dwellers make their homes outside of their houses on a daily basis--on the street, in the workplace, at restaurants, cafes, and bars. If the city is an expanded site of housing for the homeless, then it is impossible to address the condition of homelessness through the singular architectural program of housing.
