This project is a schematic design for the renovation of a small house on a wooded site in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The owners, a middle-aged couple, wanted to create a comfortable summer home for themselves and frequent guests. We split the house into a private house and guest house connected through a very open public house. The private house occupies half of the ground floor while the guest house is an enclosed loft-like room suspended above the living room.
